Volunteer Opportunities

  

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at FoodLink for Tulare County. Our organization relies heavily upon the efforts of volunteers to help feed the hungry in our community. We currently need volunteer assistance for a wide variety of duties, some of which are listed below. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturdays available upon request 8:00 - Noon, call to reserve a Saturday for your group. 

              Signing up to volunteer:

1. The first step in volunteering is to contact our Volunteer Department to schedule your volunteer hours. You may call  (559) 651-food or e-mail info@foodlinktc.org

2. Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out our Volunteer Information Form .

3. FoodLink first concern with volunteers is safety, please arrive in closed-toed shoes.

  Youth Policy:

Volunteers 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult, youth groups require 1 adult per 8 youth. Volunteers 18 and under require a parent or guardian complete the youth permission registration.

FoodLink  volunteer projects:

• Repacking bulk food items

• Recycling

• Assist warehouse staff pull food orders for our partner food agencies
