FoodLink Warehouse Repack Projects
Hours: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
 
 

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at FoodLink for Tulare County. Our organization relies heavily upon the efforts of volunteers to help feed the hungry in our community. We currently need volunteer assistance for a wide variety of duties, some of which are listed below. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Groups may request a Saturday Project.

 

 

Signing up to volunteer:

  1. The first step in volunteering is to contact our Volunteer Department to sign up for a volunteer shift. You may contact Chris Burrows either by phone (559) 651-food or e-mail chrisb@foodlinktc.org .
  2. The next step is to complete the Volunteer Information Form. Each volunteer will need to complete this form, upon arrival.
  3. FoodLink first concern with volunteers is safety, please arrive in closed-toed shoes.

 

Youth Policy:

Volunteers 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult, youth groups require 1 adult per 8 youth. Volunteers 18 and under require a parent or guardian complete the youth permission registration.

When you arrive:

You will be asked to sign-in on our volunteer log and submit your Volunteer Information Form.

FoodLink has various volunteer projects:

  • Repacking bulk food items
  • Recycling
  • Assist warehouse staff pull food orders for our partner food agencies
  • Miscellaneous office work – filing, stuffing envelopes, ect.
